Researchers, doctorants and students of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology have been given access to the Writefull tool which has been designed to proofread scientific texts in English.

Writefull tool uses artificial intelligence (AI) and 'learns' from millions of academic journal articles.

The tool offers several components:

• Writefull for Word and Writefull for Overleaf plug-ins for word processors to improve grammar, punctuation, spelling and style while working on the text, and additionally to suggest vocabulary appropriate to the discipline
• Writefull Revise, an online service enabling analysis of already prepared texts
• Writefull Cite, an online service based on artificial intelligence (AI) that recognises potential citations and the need to complete the bibliography.

The use of Writefull

The Writefull tool requires access to the Internet, installation of the appropriate plug-in [writefull.com/researchers] and account registration using the e-mail address in the university domain (@pwr.edu.pl or @student.pwr.edu.pl):

• Writefull for Word – installing the appropriate plug-in [writefull.com/researchers]
  account registration here: word.writefull.ai/index and next log in the Word application, tab: Writefull
• Writefull for Overleaf –installing the plug-in [writefull.com/researchers], and registering an account with Overleaf
• Writefull Revise and Writefull Cite can be accessed from the University's internal network or via VPN. They operate online using a web browser, the URLs for these services for the Wrocław University of Science and Technology users can be found in the GUIDE.
