SCOAP3 Open Publishing Program 2025–2027
List of journals covered by the SCOAP3 program

Sponsoring Consortium for Open Access Publishing in Particle Physics (SCOAP3 [https://scoap3.org/]) is an international consortium of scientific institutions, research funding agencies, and libraries from 27 countries, coordinated by CERN, which has funded open access scientific publishing in particle physics since the beginning of 2014.

The current agreement for 2025–2027 provides an unlimited number of particle physics articles that can be published free of charge by authors affiliated with national scientific institutions.

Terms of use of the SCOAP3 program:

• affiliation of the author with an institution in a country whose representative (ICM UW) participates in the SCOAP3 consortium,
• the article must fall within the subject scope of a journal or journal section covered by the program; currently, the program includes 11 journals: APS (3), Elsevier (2), Springer (2), IOP (1), OUP (1), UJ (1), Wiley (1),
• the program allows publication of articles under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC-BY).

Program initiation:

The author submits a particle physics article for review to one of the 11 journals covered by the 2025–2027 agreement. After the article is accepted for publication, at the end of the peer review process the editorial office will send the documents required under the agreement for signature.
