From 18th to 26th November, the WUST Library will provide limited service to the users.
It will not be possible to order, borrow and return books, as well as enrolling and billing. During this time, the students will be able to use their own materials in the reading rooms and in the Open Study Zone. Access to the electronic collections will be possible under the current rules, with the exception of Friday, 18th November (remote access via the HAN system will not be implemented).
The inconvenience is due to the change from the current ALEPH system to the new ALMA system, which is being implemented by the National Library, and the need to carry out a number of technical measures. The new library system will be launched at WRUT on Monday, 28th November.
The introduction of the ALMA system is possible thanks to the WUST Library winning first place among Polish academic libraries in the 'National Reading Development Programme 2.0 for 2021-2025' competition. As a result, the university was awarded the right to implement and use the ALMA system free of charge until 2025.
